Beware mid-selling by booking.net. The Shangri-La Al Bandar is fabulous but this is not where Booking.net locate you. They take your booking, letting you believe it’s for Al Bandar and then locate you in the Al Waha which is nice, but far inferior to the Al Bandar.

Large resort. Fantastic staff and service. Good selection of restaurants. Numerous pools and authentic entertainment. Immaculate facilities.

Remote location meaning taxi/shuttle into town around 20 mins away. Disappointment experienced when believing the booking is for Al Bandar and finding out that it’s for the lower grade section of the hotel.
